Internships

 

The Lemur Conservation Foundation (LCF) offers husbandry internships at our Myakka City Lemur Reserve that include onsite housing, professional development opportunities, and experience at an AZA certified-related institution.

 

Prerequisites

• Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field from an accredited four-year college or university

• Driver’s license and dependable transportation

• Willingness to work weekends and holidays, in all weather conditions

• Ability to lift 50 pounds

• Health insurance coverage

• Proof of a negative TB test within the past 12 months and tetanus vaccination within the past 5 years

• Experience working with animals
